After a full programme of refurbishment, Welyarde is now available for bookings! A lovely 3 bedroom beamed cottage with a large secure garden located on a quiet road in Tideswell. It is minutes away from the local amenities and a perfect base for you to explore the sights and attractions in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Dogs are very welcome at no extra charge, provided they are accompanied by well behaved owners!

Wonderful Welyarde!
Built in the 1800’s, Welyarde was originally three separate cottages with a farmers field behind. It is now a single cottage with three bedrooms, and the farmers field has become a beautiful garden. At the far end of the garden is The Old Piggery - an equally dog friendly establishment with fabulous views. See Related Links for full details.

Newly refurbished from top to bottom, Welyarde sleeps 6 in three bedrooms (two doubles, one king size). There is a wood burning stove in the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is plenty of space to store muddy boots and wet weather gear if the sun isn’t shining! The bathroom has the best view in the village (over Welyarde’s fabulous garden!) and has a shower-bath.

The garden is Welyarde’s crowning glory. It started life as a farmer’s field, and was then turned into a beautifully landscaped garden - featuring in the 1980’s in its very own episode of Gardener’s World! It’s now not quite so manicured as it was in those days, but still a beautiful space for you (and your dogs, if you have them) to relax in.

Other information
Welyarde and The Old Piggery (which is situated at the far end of the Welyarde garden, with separate access) can be booked together - availability permitting. This is perfect for a larger group – as the garden can be accessed from both ends.

Attractions and great days out for all the family to enjoy in and around the village of Tideswell. From beautiful and very grand stately homes - Chatsworth House is just a ten minute drive - to donkey sanctuaries, stone henges, delightful dales, splendid estates, theme parks, ancient caverns and caves, fabulous farm shops, the Tideswell School of Food and more.

The Peak District offers something special for everyone from great Derbyshire pubs to visit, beautiful and historic Derbyshire churches and of course the ancient tradition of Well Dressings.
