The Barn has a spacious sitting room with comfortable suite, electric effect stove, colour TV, DVD, radio/CD player and iPod dock. Windows overlook the patio and garden and distant views beyond.
The dining room which adjoins the kitchen, has a stone flagged floor, table seating eight and a piano.
There are hand made oak units in the kitchen with polished local stone worktops, electric oven/hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
The utility room/porch has a shower room with WC and basin leading off and also contains an automatic washer/dryer with room for coat and boot/shoe storage.
Upstairs there are four bedrooms, one double, two twin and a bunk bedded room and a bathroom.
The cottage has a gated drive with parking for two cars.
Cottage Location
Situated on the green in the small traditional Derbyshire village of Monyash set only 5 miles from the attractive market town of Bakewell and 8 miles from the spa town of Buxton. Note - please see location map on our website for precise location. An ideal base to visit the Peak District. Lathkill Dale and stone circle at Arbor Low are both nearby. The local pub and village tea-rooms are only a short walk. There are plenty of attractions to visit, from the excitement of Alton Towers to the peaceful settings of nearby Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.
For lovers of the outdoors the area has everything walking, cycling, fishing and more! Miles of cycle trails can be explored on foot or bicycle (cycle hire available locally) The Dark Peak moors and White Peak's limestone dales are all within easy reach.
