Shatton Hall Farm is superbly set at the head of a wooded valley in the heart of the Peak District. Farm trails, a trout lake, extensive gardens and a hard tennis court are to be enjoyed by our visitors, who can also relax on their own terrace or cottage garden. We converted stone barns into 3 comfortable cottages, furnished in old pine with well equipped kitchens, tiled bathrooms with showers, double and twin bedrooms sleeping 4 in each cottage. The Hayloft and Orchard Cottages are next door to each other and Paddock Cottage a little way across the farmyard.
THE HAYLOFT has a spacious living area upstairs, with direct access to the garden behind. The well equipped electric kitchen has a refectory table seating 8, which is ideal if this cottage is let with Orchard Cottage next door for a group of friends or family. The bedrooms and bathroom are downstairs.
ORCHARD COTTAGE has a conventional layout, suiting a young family or older couple. From the cosy living area a garden door opens to south facing gravelled patio with furniture and Bar-B-Q. This is a 'sun-trap' and very private. With full CH, hot water is heated by solar power.
PADDOCK COTTAGE with unrivalled views from the east facing terrace, a great place to 'bird watch' catching the morning sun for breakfast. Being dog friendly, the fenced car park is an asset as is the adjascent paddock for a horse and we know lots of good bridleways. Conveniently arranged with only two steps from the cosy living room to the double bedroom and bathroom, all with CH. The added character of a wood burning stove, fuelled from the adjoining wood store, makes this a haven in winter.
TOWNFIELD BARN is S.facing in a sheltered position overlooking Shatton hillside; a perfect to hire for private and wedding celebrations as featured on our website. Information pack available.
